
Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer and with the temperatures rising, many Greater Lafayette outdoor swimming pools are now open for the season. If you and your family are looking for a reprieve from the sweltering heat, grab the bathing suits and sunscreen and dive on in to some of these area swimming pools!
Lafayette
Tropicanoe Cove – 1915 Scott Street
Located in Lafayette’s historic Columbian Park, Tropicanoe Cove offers a taste of the tropics right here in Greater Lafayette! The waterpark includes the spiraling Banana Peel tube slide to the leisurely Cattail Crik. You’ll also want to check out some of the new attractions including the Riptide Racer and Tiki-Twist Slides.

Castaway Bay – 601 Beck Lane
Located in Armstrong Park, Castaway Bay makes it seem as if you’re at the beach by offering a beach-like entry, water basketball and a bubble bench.

Family Night (Tuesdays) – $2.00
Vinton Pool – 3111 Prairie Lane
Located next to Vinton Elementary School, the Vinton Pool features a beach-like entrance, a double water slide, water geysers, large umbrellas, and lap lanes.

West Lafayette
West Lafayette Municipal Pool – 1200 N. Salisbury Street
Located behind Happy Hollow Elementary School, the West Lafayette Municipal Pool has three heated pools with a 250,000-gallon capacity. This includes a baby pool less than one foot deep, an intermediate pool that is 1 ½ to 3 feet deep, and a large pool that is 3 ½ feet to 12 ½ feet deep with two low diving boards.
In addition to the pools, there are three shaded structures and a few picnic areas.

Prophetstown State Park Aquatic Center – 5545 Swisher Road
Owned and operated by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Prophetstown State Park Aquatic Center features a long list of amenities including, a 30-foot tube slide, body flume, zero-entry poo with play features, and an aquatic activity area with basketball. The aquatic center also has a concession stand.
One-Time Admission
3 years old & under – FREE
General Admission – $5.00
State park admission – $8.00 per vehicle
Fowler
Moses Fowler Pool – 204 S. Jefferson Avenue
Located in the heart of Fowler, the Moses Fowler Pool is open seven days a week. Some amenities include diving boards, a water slide, and a kiddie pool.
One-Time Admission

Visitor pass (non-swimmers) – $1.00
Monticello
Monticello City Pool – 519 S. 2nd Street (In Voigt Park)
Newly renovated, this Olympic-sized swimming pool includes a tot pool, dressing areas, and a concession stand. Water temperatures sit around 80-82 degrees. There is also a lift chair available to pool patrons who need assistance in and out of the pool.
